ABOUT THE FIRST RUNG INC.

We are a non-profit organization committed to providing entry-level skills to people with an interest in careers in construction. Located in the heart of North Greenwood in Clearwater, First Rung is dedicated to developing abilities and talents that will enable people to change their lives and to participate in the economic and social health of the community.

 

 

Students who enroll in the First Rung program receive hands-on instruction in basic construction skills including safety, proper use of hand and power tools, framing, drywall, tiling, electricity, masonry, and plumbing. There is no charge to students who enroll in the program. The program welcomes donations provided by board members and contributions from companies, agencies, and individuals of Pinellas County.
